As you travel through Apulia, you will occasionally spot tiny cottages built for shepherds and farm workers which have a domed roof made from slabs of limestone that have been joined together without concrete or mortar. Located 60 km from Bari is the town of Alberobello, which is entirely comprised of these cottages, commonly known as trulli. It is this unique architecture that attracts visitors to the village.
