  • Treetops Lodge
    Treetops Lodge

Treetops Lodge was originally built in 1932 on an ancient elephant migratory route, high in the Aberdare Mountains. Designed exclusively for comfortable game viewing, the stilted lodge overlooks a permanent, well-frequented waterhole and a natural salt lick, which are floodlit at night. Rooms and suites are small and cosy, and guests can watch the nocturnal spectacle from the lounge's large picture windows or from the rooftop terrace. Visiting wildlife regularly includes rhinos, lions, leopards, large herds of elephants, and the rare chestnut-coated bongo antelope. Guests who don't want to miss a sighting can be alerted by an optional buzzer system when new wildlife arrives. Treetops is famous for being the place where Queen Elizabeth II was staying in February 1952 when she first heard news of the death of her father, King George VI, and ascended the throne. Features: 32 rooms & 3 suites, restaurant, bar, lounge, photography hides, rooftop viewing deck. ...

  • Lake Naivasha Country Club
    Lake Naivasha Country Club

Lake Naivasha Country Club's history dates back to the 1930s, when it was used as a staging post for a flying boat service from Durban to Dublin. The club has retained its colonial architecture and has expanded to spread over more than 20 hectares of manicured lawns and mature trees. Guestrooms are bright and spacious, and offer views of the lawns and wild beyond. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and a spa. Guests can take game drives in Hell's Gate National Park (named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries) and nature walks through Crescent Island, a private game sanctuary home to zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and waterbucks. Other activities include boat rides on Lake Naivasha and early-morning bird walks on the club grounds. Features: 50 rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, gym, spa, laundry service. Room amenities: Balcony, seating area, television, minibar, safe, tea & coffee facilities, Wi-Fi. ...

    Sweetwaters Tented Camp

  • Mara Leisure Camp
    Mara Leisure Camp

The Mara Leisure Camp sits along the banks of the Talek River on the northern boundary of the Masai Mara Reserve. Positioned in the middle of four prime wildlife areas, this is one of the Mara's most spectacular settings for wildlife encounters. Just a short drive from the Mara River, the camp is in an excellent location from which to experience the annual Great Migration. Accommodation is in a mix of well-equipped tents and cottages. The tents feature lovely wooden floors, safari-style furnishings and en suite facilities with twin wash basins, and the larger Jumbo Tents have a spacious veranda. The cottages offer large bathrooms with bathtub and separate shower. Take in the majestic savanna while enjoying a bush breakfast, and stargaze by the camp's bonfire in the evenings.
