Morning arrival and transfer to Horathapola Estate for 1 night. (D)
Knuckles mountain range
Travel to the edge of the Knuckles Mountain Range for a 2-night stay at Rangala House, set amidst tea plantations. En route, stop in Kandy and visit the Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. (B)
Knuckles Mountain range
Venture into the Knuckles Range, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, to catch sight of the abundance of birdlife, with the area containing 75% of Sri Lanka’s endemic bird species. Explore the rugged mountain range, characterised by its mist-covered peaks, dense forests, and deep valley. (B)
Gal Oya National Park
Head for the sublimely beautiful Gal Oya National Park and check in to the Gal Oya Lodge for a 2-night stay. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling 4x4 safari through the park's diverse ecosystems to try and spot Sri Lankan elephants, leopards, and deer. (B)

A morning boat safari and breakfast by Senanayaka Samudra Lake in the company of elephants is not to be missed. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the local area with opportunity to meet with the local Vedda tribe. (B)

Late morning drive to Weerawila for a 4-night stay at Flameback Eco Lodge, for a 4-night stay at the Flameback Eco Lodge nestled by the banks of the Weerawila Lake in the midst of a bird sanctuary. (B)
Udawalawe National Park
Depart early this morning for a game drive in Udawalawe National Park. The park is not only home to the largest population of elephants in Sri Lanka, but also other animals such as wild buffalo, spotted deer and crocodiles to name just a few. (B)
Yala National Park
After a leisurely morning travel to the iconic Yala National Park to go in search for the elusive leopard on a game drive. It is also possible to spot sloth bears, wild elephants, spotted deer, crocodiles and an incredible array of birdlife. (B)

Early this morning return to Yala to continue your exploration of the park. Return to the lodge for a leisurely afternoon. (B)
Mirissa
Morning drive to the south coast of Mirissa, which has earned a reputation as one of the world’s hot spots for whale and dolphin watching. Visit the Bundala Bird Sanctuary en route which holds a diverse landscape from dry scrubland to mangroves and lagoons. Stay 2 nights at Marissa Beach Villa. (B)
Mirissa
In the morning, go in search of whales and dolphins on a cruise. The Mirissa area is one of the world’s top places for sperm and blue whale sightings and you may be accompanied by pods of acrobatic spinner dolphins. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Fly home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
