Drive to Oudtshoorn and stay overnight at Surval
Boutique Olive Estate.
Oudtshoorn, known as ‘the feather capital’, is set
in the picturesque semi-desert region of the Little
Karoo. Popular visits from Oudtshoorn include the
dramatic Cango caves, a local ostrich farm and
early morning meerkat viewing. (B, D)
Drive to Emily Moon River Lodge and stay 3 nights.
Days at leisure to explore the Garden Route, a
picturesque stretch of wide beaches, lakes and
rivers, indigenous forests and impressive mountain
passes. Both properties offer picnic baskets on
request and can advise on the best beaches to visit.
Guidance can also be given on nearby walks in the
Robberg peninsula and the surrounding indigenous
forests. Other activities include boat trips to spot
whales and dolphins around the bay. (B)
Drive to Port Elizabeth and drop off your hire car.
Transfer to Woodbury Lodge in Amakhala Private Game Reserve for 2
nights. Wildlife drives the following day. (B, L, D)
Transfer to Port Elizabeth airport and fly home via
