Discover some of the unique benefits of choosing to travel with Cox & Kings...
Cox & Kings family holidays are specially created for families seeking adventure and discovery without compromising on comfort and peace of mind.
All families are unique, so the ideas we have put together in our family range are intended purely as suggestions – our specialist Travel Consultants are experts in designing holidays completely tailored to your family’s interests, ages and adventurousness.
We do not specialise in resort-based, kids-club type holidays. Instead, we create inspiring itineraries to get family members of all generations out into the world, experiencing its countless wonders together and collecting enduring memories.
At Cox & Kings our regional experts are on hand to discuss all the options for creating your perfect family adventure, with elements to excite children, teenagers, parents and grandparents alike. Our specialists cover the following areas: the Indian Subcontinent; Latin America; Canada & Alaska; Australasia; Europe; the Middle East; the Far East and Africa.
We specialise in creating holidays for families who combine a sense of adventure with a taste for the better things in life; who like to broaden horizons by day then unwind in beautiful surroundings, with delicious food and a comfortable bed at night.
All the holidays in our family collection operate on a private basis. Unless you are on a self-drive trip, your family will be met by a local English-speaking representative on arrival at each new destination along the way, taken to your hotel and assisted with check-in. In general, you will have your own private vehicle and driver, and on excursions you will have your own English-speaking guides.
If you prefer greater flexibility, in more developed destinations, Cox & Kings organises self-drive family holidays in countries as diverse as Canada, Namibia and Iceland. These itineraries are labelled ‘self-drive’ just beneath the tour title. We can also offer the service in many other countries around Europe and the rest of the world. On a self-drive holiday you will be met on arrival in the destination and assisted with your car hire collection. We then book any fixed accommodation and guided sightseeing that you require en route.
Learn to cook like a local, zip-wire above the rainforest canopy, track wild animals, snorkel amid shoals of tropical fish, hike to a timeless temple, haggle your way round a chaotic market, explore backroads by bicycle and backwoods by snowmobile, or simply sit back and watch the setting sun illuminate a breath-taking landscape.
For all the suggested itineraries in this collection we publish ‘guideline prices’ for both the high season and low season to give you a reasonable idea of what to expect. These prices are based on adults and older children – young children or infants will generally be cheaper. Please contact one of our expert consultants for an accurate price based on your proposed departure date, the number of people travelling and your exact itinerary.
Adventurous travel is, by its nature, unpredictable….. that’s part of its pleasure. However, when you travel with Cox & Kings you can rest assured that your itinerary will have been planned by an expert and on the ground you will have the full support of our carefully selected local representatives who can ensure the trip runs seamlessly and that any wrinkles are smoothed as quickly as possible. Cox & Kings is also a fully bonded travel company, offering you full protection.

We have highlighted the standard of accommodation featured on a tour immediately above the tour itinerary.
In some cases, tours include some departures in one category and some in another: you can see and select the different tour types under ‘tour variations’. For these tours, the itinerary is generally the same and just the standard of accommodation varies. However, if there are any variations in the excursions included, these are shown within the itinerary.
Superior: Most Cox & Kings tours fall under this category and are based in 4- or 5-star accommodation, or the best available.
Luxury: These tours will usually feature 5-star de luxe accommodation throughout.
Standard: Simpler in emphasis, these itineraries typically feature 3- and 4-star accommodation throughout.
Discovery: This type of holiday is best suited to the hardier traveller, as it will typically include some quite basic accommodation, possibly longer and rougher road journeys and, in some cases, more arduous activities, such as trekking.
