Established in 2011, the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp is an eco-tourism venture that not only cares for elephants but also works to preserve and replant the surrounding forest, and protect the native butterflies, rare orchids and birds. Visitors can learn about these efforts, as well as appreciating the natural environment, walking along forest trails and taking short elephant rides on the animals the camp cares for. Walk through the jungle to the river where the elephants bathe. You can even join in with feeding and bathing the elephants. It is also possible visit the nearby tree nurseries, part of the camp's forest regeneration project, and learn about local conservation efforts from an expert guide.
