My Son was an imperial city during the Cham dynasty, who reigned from the 4th to 13th century and whose culture has its origins in Indian Hinduism. My Son sanctuary, a Unesco world heritage site, is a large complex of religious sites that comprises more than 70 architectural works, including temples and large towers of red brick, carved with images from Hindu mythology. These towers were the main component of the Cham architectural design, built to reflect the divinity of the king.
