The Ujung Kulon National Park is located in the south-west of Java, encompassing the peninsula and a number of uninhabited off shore islands, including Krakatoa Island and its famous volcano. It is Indonesia's oldest national park, established in 1921, and later designated a Unesco world heritage site in 1992. Its protected status is due to its importance as a study area of inland volcanoes and several species of endangered plants and animals, most notably a small population of Javan rhinoceroses

"Arriving at the desert camp at Manvar, going on the camel ride at sunset and staying in the camp overnight. Also visiting the Bishnoi tribe and realising that they have such an admirable philosophy.

"My wife and I had the most fantastic holiday. Truly the trip of a lifetime. From start to finish our itinerary worked like clockwork, which meant we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves very much. This is our second trip with Cox & Kings an we cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all very much.
"It is always inspiring to become acquainted with other cultures, and to see for oneself places known of through literature and other reportage media. Our experience of Russia was quite different from the present coverage in press. We were not particularly noticeable or significantly different from the generality of Russians. Perhaps the most pleasing moment was having supper in the restaurant of the National Hotel in Moscow, overlooking Red Square and St Basil's Cathedral. We couldn't have been positioned for a more iconic view, and the surroundings were sumptuous.
Ms Rosalind Lavington"
"The phenomenal enthusiasm and knowledge of both our guides, especially Violetta in Moscow who was brilliantly informative, enthusiastic and could not have been better. We also thoroughly appreciated the knowledge of our guide Teddy in St Petersburg.

"The knowledge of our safari ranger and tracker was amazing. To see the animals at such close range, yet in a natural surrounding was unbelievable. We saw a lioness stalk and kill her prey which was sad yet incredible, after all it is what happens for their survival. The elephant drinking out of our plunge pool outside our lodge was the icing on the cake. The food and menus at the Great Fish River Lodge was excellent. I cannot fault the accommodation, food, or the staff they were fabulous.
Mrs Margaret Lambelle"
"Petra by candlelight was stunning.
Mr. John Scott"
