As the only lodge beside the lake, there is privileged early morning and evening access. The lodge is built from ecologically sourced mahogany driftwood and is owned by a non-profit organisation and five local indigenous families. The whole complex is housed in one structure and includes 25 rooms, each with ceiling fan and a private bathroom with a warm water shower. There is a spacious dining room overlooking the lake. The lodge's electricity is provided by a generator which is turned on three times per day: 5am to 6am; noon to 4pm, and from 5.30pm to 10.30pm. It is recommended to bring a torch.
