Karanambu Lodge offers simple accommodation in six mud brick cottages with thatched roofs, and is very much part of the bush experience. The beds are comfortable and covered with their own mosquito nets, and each room has a private bathroom and a veranda with a hammock. Meals are served around a communal dining table in the living room of the main ranch. The lodge is run by the McTurk family on the family’s former cattle ranch and was opened to the public by the late Diane McTurk, a world-renowned expert on giant river otters.
