This journey provides a special opportunity to experience the Galapagos islands and observe their remarkable wildlife at close quarters. See giant tortoises and a number of indigenous bird species, and swim with sea lions, penguins and perhaps even sea turtles. Explore the old colonial centre of Quito, and take optional excursions to visit a colourful local market or to see Ecuador’s most impressive volcano.

Days 6-8: GalapagosShared excursions with a naturalist guide for close encounters with some of the most rare animals and birds, including land iguanas, giant tortoises, Darwin’s finches, boobies and flightless cormorants. The days are spent exploring islands with different characteristics to see the variety of wildlife and landscapes. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Fly to GuayaquilDisembark the cruise and fly to Guayaquil. Transfer to the Wyndham Garden Guayaquil for 1 night. (B)

The Wyndham Garden Guayaquil is conveniently located within five minutes from the airport, and offers a complimentary shuttle bus service. The Treasure of Galapagos is a small catamaran that accommodates 16 passengers in nine comfortable cabins, each with private balcony. The yacht offers spacious outdoor areas featuring a sun deck with whirlpool, a bar and shaded awning, which is ideal for alfresco dining. Indoor facilities include a dining area, lounge and bar with panoramic windows as well as a comfortable lounge space. Complimentary snorkelling equipment is provided.
The Seaman Journey is a first-class expeditionary catamaran. A maximum of 16 passengers can be accommodated in eight air-conditioned comfortable cabins with private bathrooms. Onboard facilities include spacious sundecks, a bar-lounge, and inside and outside dining areas. Snorkelling equipment and kayaks are provided free of charge. Wetsuits can be hired for a small daily charge and we recommend this is requested in advance. Full board is provided for your stay on the Seaman Journey. The cost of beverages and Galapagos taxes of $100 are not included and are payable locally. Payment on board can be made in cash only. Card payments are not accepted. The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, readjustment of national park policies or at the captain's decision to take the best advantage of seasonal changes. All excursions from your cruise are on a group basis.
The Hilton Colon Guayaquil is located in the commercial area of the city, only five minutes drive from the airport. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, health club and swimming pool.
