he MY Eric, together with its identical sister vessel, the Letty, are 20-passenger motor-yachts that offer excellent value and superior comfort. Designated family departures operate on selected dates during school holidays, with age-appropriate activities for children and teenagers aged 7 to 17. The cruise operator is a recognised leader in sustainable tourism initiatives dedicated to preserving the ecological integrity of the Galapagos Islands. They have maintained their SmartVoyager certification for sustainable practice since 2000, established the Galapagos Marine Biodiversity Fund in partnership with WWF and work with local island communities.
Each yacht features 10 double outside-facing cabins located on three decks with polished teakwood interiors, window view or portholes. Cabins are fully air-conditioned throughout with private bathroom facilities, hot and cold water showers, and a hairdryer. Public areas include a dining room, well-stocked bar and conference area with a television, DVD player, board games, library of books and DVDs. Picture windows surround the upper two decks and offer a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean and coastlines. Enjoy the sea breezes, sunshine or a sky full of stars while relaxing on lounge chairs and recliners located on the sun deck and observation points.
An experienced captain, eight dedicated crew members and two experienced English-speaking naturalist guides attend to the details of your Galapagos cruise. Each naturalist takes a group of no more than 10 passengers on all shore excursions and shares extensive insights into the islands' diverse wildlife.
House wine and beer are included during dinner and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are provided throughout the day. Kayaks, snorkelling equipment, custom wet suits and beach towels are available at no additional cost. Galapagos tax of US$100 must be paid locally.
