The Explora Patagonia has 50 rooms and is considered one of Chile’s most outstanding hotels. The location is simply stunning, looking out over the blue waters of Lake Pehoé and directly at the dramatic Cuernos formation. Designed by Chilean architects to take advantage of its location, the hotel features a band of picture windows that wrap around the full front of the building and large windows in each room. The blonde wood interiors were built entirely from native deciduous beech, as was the handcrafted furniture. Facilities at the hotel include an indoor swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, saunas, massage, satellite television and a small library. Meals are taken in the restaurant, with a buffet breakfast and a fixed menu at lunch and dinner, with a meat and vegetarian option.
