Brazil is full of contrasting scenery, fascinating history and distinctive cultures, due to its African, European and native influences. This tour offers an outstanding introduction to the highlights of Brazil, including the seasonally flooded Pantanal wetlands, considered one of the world's greatest places for viewing wildlife, the thrilling Iguaçu Falls and glamorous Rio de Janeiro. Day 2: BrasiliaMorning flight onto Brasilia. Transfer to the Windsor Brasilia for 1 night. Take an afternoon tour of Brasilia, famed for its unique design and architecture.
Day 3: Fly to the PantanalFly to Cuiabà, gateway to the Pantanal and transfer to Pousada do Rio Mutum for a 3-night stay. This eco-resort occupies a picturesque location between two lakes and features comfortable airconditioned rooms. (B, D)
Day 4-5: PantanalLocal shared excursions with naturalist guides, including walks, boat trips and canoeing on the lake. The relatively sparse vegetation of the Pantanal facilitates the spotting of a variety of wildlife including monkeys, caimans, capybaras, giant anteaters, toucans, jabiru storks and jacanas. Day 6: Fly to Iguaçu via Sao PauloShared transfer to Cuiaba in time for your flight to Iguaçu, via Sao Paulo. Stay 2 nights at the Recanto Park Hotel. Option to upgrade to the luxurious Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, located within the park. (B)
Day 7: Iguaçu*Take a full-day tour of the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the falls. The thundering waters of Iguaçu are an amazing spectacle surrounded by tropical forest. (B)
Day 8: Fly to Rio de JaneiroFly to Rio and transfer for a 3-night stay at the Windsor Martinique Hotel, just a few minutes’ stroll from Copacabana beach (Superior room). (B)
Day 9: Rio de JaneiroFull-day tour of Rio, including Corcovado and Sugar Loaf mountain for spectacular views. (B)
Day 10: Rio de JaneiroDay at leisure or take an optional tour of old Rio or Tijuca forest, the world’s largest urban forest. (B)
Days 11-12: Fly to London via LisbonMorning at leisure. Transfer to the airport for an overnight flight to London with British Airways. (B)

Recanto Park Thermas & Resort is a 4-star contemporary hotel located in Foz do Iguaçu, a few kilometres from the airport and a 20-minute drive from the Brazilian side of the falls.
