The charming Reserva do Ibitipoca is one of Brazil's finest small properties, set within a 4,000-hectare private reserve. The traditional farmhouse, Fazenda do Engenho, dates back to 1715 and was carefully restored in 2006, preserving the property's historic character. It houses eight spacious suites, individually decorated with local artwork and handicrafts, and combines rustic furnishings with luxurious touches such as clawfoot bathtubs and Egyptian cotton linens. 100 metres from the farmhouse is Casa de Carlinhos, containing a further three suites, ideal for families or small groups. Additionally, there are a further three rustic country houses, operated independently to the main lodge, offering cosy, remote retreats in different rural areas of the estate. Guests can enjoy the vast area of the reserve's countryside by foot or on horseback, visiting natural pools and waterfalls. There is also an outdoor hydro-massage pool from which to enjoy the night sky and peaceful surroundings. Full-board meals feature locally produced ingredients in gourmet menus created by renowned Brazilian chefs.
Features: 11 suites & 3 cottages, restaurant, spa, sauna, TV room, wine cellar.
