The Amazon Eco Park Lodge is located on the banks of the Taruma river, a tributary of the Rio Negro, in the Amazon rainforest, less than 30 minutes by boat from Manaus. The lodge features 64 simple but comfortable rooms set in 20 rustic bungalows, in a typical regional architectural design. All rooms are decorated with indigenous Amazonian crafts and equipped with a private bathroom and hot shower, fan, air conditioning and screened windows. The lodge has a panoramic open-air restaurant serving regional cuisine as its speciality, a bar, natural pools, a private beach on the river, and more than 10km of jungle trails. Excursions from the lodge include an alligator-spotting tour, a visit to a local resident's house, piranha fishing and dugout canoe trips. The monkey forest in the lodge grounds is a centre for the rehabilitation and re-introduction of woolly monkeys, some confiscated from contraband dealers and others injured, and is open to guests at feeding times.
