Standard Private Tour in brief

Days 1-3: Fly to Cuzco via Bogotá

Fly overnight to Cuzco via Bogotá. Upon arrival, transfer to the Sacred Valley for 2 nights at Hatun Valley. Visit a local market and Ollantaytambo Inca fortress. (B)

Day 4: Machu Picchu • Cuzco

Take a full-day trip by train to the magnificent site of Machu Picchu. (An overnight can also be arranged). in the afternoon travel by train to Cuzco for a 2-night stay. (B, L)

Day 5: Cuzco

Guided city tour of this charming city. (B)

Day 6: Puno

Take a scenic bus journey across the altiplano taking in majestic vistas along the way. Alternatively, upgrade to the Titicaca train (supplements apply). Arrive in Puno for an overnight stay at Jose Antonio. (B, L)

Day 7: Lake Titicaca

Travel by hydrofoil across Lake Titicaca into Bolivia. Stay overnight on the picturesque Sun Island, a sacred Inca site. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Lake Titicaca • Salar de Uyuni

Explore the lake shores. Make a visit to the Inca staircase and sacred fountain and stop at the Altiplano museum at Huatajata. Continue by road to La Paz for an evening flight to Uyuni (depending on flight schedules it may be necessary to add an overnight stay at Huatajata). Stay 2 nights at a salt hotel on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni. (B, L, D)

Day 9: Salar de Uyuni

Explore the otherwordly salt flats, the largest on earth, on a full-day 4×4 tour. (B, L, D)

Days 10-11: La Paz

Morning flight to La Paz for a 2-night stay at La Casona Boutique Hotel or Atix Hotel. Explore the city, the Witches Market and Moon Valley. Optional visit to the Tiwanaku ruins. (B)

Days 12-13: Fly to Lima

Fly to Lima and stay 2 nights. Explore the city’s colonial heritage. (B)

Days 14-15: Fly home via Bogotá

Morning at leisure. Afternoon flight via Bogota back to the UK. (B)
