Standard Private Tour in brief

Days 1–2: Fly to Salta via Buenos Aires

Fly from Buenos Aires to Salta and stay 2 nights at Hotel La Candela or similar. Explore this beautiful city, with its colonial architecture and fascinating museums, such as the splendid High Mountain Archaeological Museum (MAAM). (B)

Day 3: Purmamarca

Travel north to the high altiplano and the Salinas Grandes salt flats. Stay overnight at Hotel El Marques de Tojo in Purmamarca and see the stunning Hill of the Seven Colours, a rainbow of green, yellow and purple cliffs. (B)

Day 4: Tilcara • Humahuaca • Salta

Visit the pre-Hispanic treasures of Tilcara and admire the multi-coloured Humahuaca gorge before returning to Salta for 1 night. (B)

Day 5: Cachi

Head south through rugged canyons, high summits and giant cacti deserts to the colonial villages of Cachi and Molinos. Stay overnight at Hotel El Cortijo in Cachi. (B)

Day 6: Cafayate

Continue through the Calchaqui valley to Cafayate with its excellent wine estates. Stay overnight at Hotel Viñas de Cafayate. (B)

Day 7: Salta

Travel back to Salta through the impressive cliffs and rock formations of Las Conchas canyon. Fly to Buenos Aires or another destination. (B)
