"The high plains (Alto Plano) were fantastic to experience and to see the people who survived there. View down into Chivay was very impressive. Drive up to Macchu Pichu was hairy but well worth it - the views were breathtaking at the top. Train from Puno to Cusco was very very enjoyable. We were not looking forward to a 10 hour train ride but thoroughly enjoyed it. Peru Rail staff very well turned out and very helpful and service on train excellent.

"We have recently returned from our honeymoon in Japan and just wanted to let you know what an absolutely fantastic time we had! Our guide was fantastic, the accommodation in Tokyo and Kyoto was first class and the ryokan on Miyamira Island was an amazing experience. The trip was certainly the holiday of a lifetime, which was perfect as it was our honeymoon.

"I just wanted to say thank you to you for arranging my recent trip to Egypt. It was a wonderful holiday and I felt really taken care of from beginning to end. Your advice regarding the extra day was excellent and the upgrade to a pyramid view room worth every penny.

"All your arrangements worked well and we had a wonderful few days in Istanbul.

"Macchu Pichu & Lake Titicaca were both fantastic experiences, but it was the services of our tour leader Miguel which made our holiday so much more enjoyable - he was patient, professional and very efficient.

"Difficult to choose! Seeing the beautiful colonial buildings, some beautifully retsored and others, often still inhabited, crumbling around us. Also, visiting the Monumento Ernesto Che Guervara and hearing the passion in our guide's voice as she explained about the battle of Santa Clara. My husband would say the old cars!

"Some excellent memories from each of the areas in Chile we visited – Santiago, the Atacama Desert, the Lake District, Torres del Paine National Park, Puerto Williams and Easter Island. The two highlights were Torres del Paine and Puerto Williams – in the former you felt as if you really were at the bottom of the world, almost like the outback in Australia. The daily activities in Puerto Williams were excellent.

Mr Peter Newman"
"The medieval walled city of Khiva and desert fortresses visited en route [were inspirational].

"There were lots of highlights, but seeing the Hermitage Gallery in St Petersburg, with its room of paintings by Rembrandt, was magical.
Mr Charles Cox"
"The guide, Valentino, was very efficient, excellent with local knowledge, always pleasant and punctual; an essential requirement. Comparing the desert and Patagonia is like comparing chalk and cheese. All the places had inspirational characteristics. Food and wine were varied and of a high standard.
Mr Stephen Fidler"
"It was our first time in India and we expected it to be thrilling, and it was. The sites were magnificent; even more amazing than we had anticipated, and we had a terrific guide throughout.
Mr Adrian Wright"
"[What was inspirational was ] the sheer range of experiences from the vibrant city of Cape Town to the vistas of the wineries around Franschhoek and Stellendosch and the drive through the mountains to Sanbona in the Little Karroo. Seeing white rhino and elephants at sunset and then the amazing fynbos at Grootbos near Walker Bay. Every day brought something new and fresh.
