"There were lots of highlights, but seeing the Hermitage Gallery in St Petersburg, with its room of paintings by Rembrandt, was magical.
Mr Charles Cox"
"We are writing to you to say thank you for all your organisation, help and advice in our booking of our holiday to Egypt. Once again many thanks to you in particular and to your team who have made our holiday such a success.
Mr Rowlands"
"Easter Island was amazing, just as I expected. The first sight of the crater at Orongo was breathtaking
Ms Carol Gould"
"My most inspirational moment of my holiday was seeing Petra for the first time and glimpsing the Treasury through the Siq. I had waited a very long time to visit Petra and was not at all disappointed. The sunshine glinting on the sandstone made for a constantly changing view..
Mrs Anne Blaseby"
"We are experienced travellers and always looking for something a little different. We thought Ethiopia Odyssey was beyond our expectations and to see so many different Unesco World Heritage Sites in one holiday was exceptional. The wildlife content was unexpected and to see so many different types during such a short holiday was surprising. Would recommend Cox & Kings to others and congratulate them for putting together our holiday - the literature and the tour manager were first class.
Mr David King"
"There were so many highlights it is hard to mention just one. The visit to the gold treasury in the Hermitage was a highlight.
Miss Dorothy Betts"
"The astonishing moment of entering the Cathedral of Monreale and the drama of the golden mosaics. Stupendous impact.
Dr Jennifer Somerville"
"Seeing two leopards up the same tree with a kill was a magical moment!
Mrs Deborah Godfrey"
"The whole organisation worked incredibly well and we had a most informative and enjoyable visit. Yoshie Matsumoto must be the most outstanding guide in Japan. She was absolutely superb and added a great deal to our enjoyment.
Mr. Kirkland"
"The most inspirational moment was when we reached the summit of Sigiriya and viewed the wonderful vista. I would urge anyone who visits Sri Lanka not to miss this. It is truly worthwhile.
Dr David Rainford"
"The incredible scenery, particularly of the Atacama desert and the Torres del Paine Nat. Park. Seeing volcanos from the air and then driving/walking around them was amazing.
Mrs Caroline Roberts"
"The first sight of Macchu Picchu through the clouds was amazing. The descending cloud made a magical place all the more mysterious and mystic. Truly magical experience.
Mrs Yvonne Thorp"
"Diana Driscoll educated us last year on Mughal Uzbekistan. Because of her we booked onto this Mughal India tour to continue our education. She is inspirational and enthuses us with her love of the subject. Everything about the tour was inspirational. If we have to choose just one thing.....it would be The residency at Lucknow. Also, the India based Tour Manager Madhav Das Rathmore was quite superb and liaised well with Diana, especially since this was the first time the tour had run and the first time they had worked together.
Mr Robert Mundell"
"Our first evening in Khiva was magical. We walked by ourselves in the almost deserted streets of the old city and felt transported in another world, with the beautiful mosques and madrassas rising in the dying light. There were many amazing moments during the group visits but I would pick the climb to the Zoroastrian tower of silence near Nukus, looking at the great Oxus river and thinking of the flow and ebb of the ancient civilisations and cultures that were built and destroyed over the centuries in this now forgotten heart of Central Asia.
