Collect your hire car and drive to Lunenburg,
visiting Peggy’s Cove en route – a small coastal
village with a famous lighthouse above the
granite rock that overlooks the Atlantic. On
arrival in Lunenburg, stay for 2 nights at the

Explore the old town of Lunenburg with its
colourful historic homes and shops. (B)
Cross the peninsula to Annapolis Royal, known
for its range of fine inns and galleries. Stay 2
nights at Hillsdale House Hotel. (B)
Explore the town or drive to Brier island
(approximately 2.5 hours) for a shared whalewatching
and seabird cruise* in search of
humpback, finback and minke whales found in
the nutrient-rich waters of the Bay of Fundy. (B)
Follow the coastline to Wolfville. We
recommend continuing to visit the Grand-Pré
National Historic Site, a park to commemorate
Acadian settlement and deportation, before
returning to the town. Stay 2 nights at the
