A hot-spot for wildlife spotting, including polar bears, beluga whales and more than 200 species of bird, Churchill is also an excellent location for experiencing the northern lights. While the wildlife and northern lights cannot be guaranteed, October and November at the best months for polar bear sightings and the northern lights are most noticeable on clear nights between January and March and late August to early September. Other attractions include wild flowers between June and August and the Eskimo Museum, home to one of the oldest and most comprehensive collections of Inuit artefacts and sculptures in Canada.
