Prince Edward Island, or the ‘Garden of the Gulf’, consists of the main island along with over 200 minor islands. The capital, Charlottetown, is where the nation of Canada was born during the Charlottetown Conference in 1864. The island offers pastoral scenery, coastal drives and beaches. Many who visit will be overwhelmed by the charm and relaxed nature of its inhabitants. The island is also famous for its depiction in the novel Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908. There are direct flights to Prince Edward Island from Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa or Toronto.

Follow in the footsteps of Lucy Maud Montgomery
Lucy Maud Montgomery was the author of the popular children's book 'Anne of Green Gables', and Prince Edward Island was both her place of birth and her home for many years. Devotees of her work can visit the halls where she spent her evenings dancing and see many other significant places of interest in the picturesque part of Prince Edward Island that is now named 'Green Gables Shore'. The scenic landscape encompasses red sandstone cliffs, white sand beaches and ideal countryside for walking and picnics.

"We have recently returned from our honeymoon in Japan and just wanted to let you know what an absolutely fantastic time we had! Our guide was fantastic, the accommodation in Tokyo and Kyoto was first class and the ryokan on Miyamira Island was an amazing experience. The trip was certainly the holiday of a lifetime, which was perfect as it was our honeymoon.

"Myself and my wife Sue would like to thank Cox & Kings for a wonderful and extremely well managed holiday in India. My wife was, to say the least, a little apprehensive at travelling within India but the entire experience proved to be absolutely magical and without any drama, due to the organisation and efforts of your staff along the way. We now consider India to be the best destination we have ever travelled to in a lifetime of exotic holidays!

"I have longed to visit Gwalior fort and Bundi town since I saw pictures of both in an Insight guide to India over 20 years ago. Gwalior fort is spectacular - rising above the clean and organised town of Gwalior- it is breathtakingly majestic yet delicately beautiful with its stunning yellow, blue and iridescent turquoise tile work stretching into the distance along the perimeter wall. The interior was a surprise - incredibly well preserved in parts with exquisite carvings and evidence of sophisticated cooling and sound systems. Exceeded expectations! To finally see the romantically beautiful town of Bundi was a dream come true - a secret treasure trove of golden walls housing stunning artwork amidst crumbling ruins, Sadly neglected and in desperate need of Unesco intervention to save one of the most exquisite palace complexes in Rajasthan.
Mrs Julia Mitchell"
"Our whole trip went very smoothly, everything was perfect both in Uganda and Zanzibar. Well done Cox & Kings and many thanks !!
