Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is situated in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, surrounded by 25 hectares of pristine wilderness and only a 1-hour flight from Vancouver. Originally built in 1929 as a hunting lodge, it was rebuilt in 1952 to accommodate those seeking out a more eco-friendly adventure, and offers an inviting, family-style wilderness experience. The main lodge building houses the property’s facilities and communal areas, including a large living room and dining room with river rock fireplace, while the guest chalets and cabins are set in the woods nearby, centered around a large lawn. Many activities are available such as guided nature walks and fishing excursions, and Tweedsmuir is one of the best places to view grizzly bears in British Columbia (September to October only). Stays include all meals, complimentary Wi-Fi and the use of mountain bikes.
