Renowned for its spectacular wilderness, abundant wildlife, cosmopolitan cities and diverse cultures, Canada stretches across six time zones and is the world’s second largest country.
In a destination so large, the landscape varies from the breath-taking mountain panoramas of the Canadian Rockies to the ice covered wilderness around Churchill and the vineyards, farmland and maple forests of Canada’s east.
Culture and history is also rich throughout Canada, including historic French settlements in Québec and indigenous communities throughout the country.

Accessible only by scenic floatplane, British Columbia’s small and remote bear lodges are floated into position at the beginning of the season and floated back out before winter sets in. From your lodge you will go on excursions to spot wild grizzly bears by boat or at a viewing platform.
Canada is home to a huge number of birds and mammals. More than 630 bird species have been recorded, including ospreys and bald eagles. Beavers, raccoons and marmots are found throughout the forests of Canada, but wolves and cougars are more difficult to find. Spot whales near Vancouver, Hudson Bay and the Bay of Fundy; or search for Canada’s iconic bears. Grizzly bears can be found throughout the western and northern provinces, while black bears are more widespread. Visit the Great Bear Rainforest in the west to see grizzly bears and lesser known Kermode and spirit bears. Find polar bears in Churchill, aptly named the ‘polar bear capital of the world’.
Canada may only be less than 150 years old, but its history and cultures span back much further. Throughout the country there are opportunities to learn about the aboriginal peoples and their cultures and legends. Whilst in the east, the province of Québec is home to a French speaking population and historic French settlements.
One of the natural wonders of the world, Niagara Falls can be reached in less than 2 hours from Toronto, and is arguably Canada’s most recognisable sight. This thundering group of waterfalls lies between the borders of Canada and the US. Take a memorable helicopter flight over the falls, or enjoy a boat excursion to see the falls up close.
