Standard Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Salalah via Muscat

Transfer to the Crowne Plaza for 2 nights. (N)

Day 2: Salalah

Visit Khor Rori creek, site of the ruined city of Samhuram and capital of ancient Arabia’s frankincense trade. Continue to Nabi Ayoub, prophet Job’s tomb perched high in the mountains. (B)

Day 3: Muscat

Fly to Muscat and transfer to the Al Falaj Hotel for 2 nights. (B)

Day 4: Muscat

Visit the Grand Mosque, Bait Al Zubair museum, Muttrah souk and the Al Alam Palace. (B)

Day 5: Nizwa

Morning drive to Oman’s former capital, Nizwa. Stay overnight at The View. (B, D)

Day 6: Muscat

Return to Muscat via Bahla fort, Jabrin Palace and the ruins at the village of Tanuf. Stay overnight at the Al Falaj Hotel for 1 night. (B)

Day 7: Fly to Khasab

Transfer to the airport for a flight to Khasab, capital of the Musandam peninsula. Tour the city, then take a 4×4 excursion to Jebel Harim, the Khawr Al Najid coastline and the Birkat Khalidiya park. Stay at the Atana Khasab for 2 nights. (B)

Day 8: Khasab

Take a traditional dhow cruise, one of the most popular means of exploring the stunning coastline. (B)

Day 9: Fly home

Transfer to the airport for a flight home via Muscat. (B)

    The View is located at 1,400 metres above sea level in a valley spanning the Jebel Shams mountains, near Al Hamra and about a 45-minute drive from Nizwa. As its name suggests, the hotel has spectacular views over the surrounding terrain and is the perfect getaway for relaxation and a comfortable stay. The guestrooms have a pod-like design, each with their own private terrace and views of the valley. Local activities include trekking and visits to cultural sites, while guests can relax by a campfire at night.
