Day 5: MarrakechMorning cooking class at a traditional riad. Afternoon sightseeing tour visiting the Saadian tombs, Menara gardens, Koutoubia mosque, and Bahia Palace. Continue to the souks and the famous Djemaa el Fna square. Optional evening dinner and folklore show. (B, L)

Thie Riad Palais d'Hotes is a sophisticated and traditional riad in Fez, located near the centre and about one mile from the Der Bartha Museum. Ornate stuccoed arches and mosaic columns and floors surround the central courtyard and there is a traditional hammam, outdoor pool, sauna and spa. Although it was built in 1944, the riad is constructed in a traditional Moroccan style and furnished with local fabrics. The restaurant serves Moroccan cuisine and there is a bar and terrace with views across the city. Riad Dar Sara is a 10-minute walk from Djemaa el Fna Square and the Koutoubia Gardens. The traditional riad offers a relaxed atmosphere with Moroccan decor. There are plenty of places to relax away from the hustle and bustle, including the rooftop terrace which overlooks the Medina. Breakfast can be served in the central patios or on the rooftop terrace and there is a traditional Moroccan restaurant for evening meals.
