The Byblos Sur Mer enjoys a beautiful setting on the Mediterranean coast, with the ancient port and castle on one side, and the sea on the other. Built in 1967, the hotel was renovated in 2010 as charming boutique accommodation, its elegant rooms furnished with local art and artisanal wares. During the renovations, remains of the city walls were uncovered, and are now on display beneath the glass floor of the hotel dining room. Wander the hotel areas and you will notice that the owners cherish the country's history, with restored Byzantine mosaics, Oriental carpets, Lebanese antiques and vintage books decorating the walls. Dining options include the Café Tournesol, a bistro with magnificent harbour views serving breakfast and light snacks and the Dar L'Azrak restaurant serving seafood, mezze, and Mediterranean cusine in either indoor or outdoor dining rooms. End the evening with a cocktail at the Alexis Lounge bar. Rooms are equipped with LCD television, safe and internet connection, and offer either sea or port views.
