This morning travel to Umm Qais to see the ruins of the Decapolis city of Gadara, set in the hills above the Jordan Valley. After a tour and a basket weaving demonstration, continue to Jerash for a lunch cooked by women from a local village. Tour the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Jerash before travelling back to Amman. (B, L)
Travel along the Kings Highway stopping en route at Madaba, Mount Nebo and the crusader castle at Shobak before arriving at Petra. Lunch will be taken in a converted house near to Madaba. Stay 2 nights at Mövenpick Resort Petra. Optional evening visit to Petra by candlelight. (B, L)
