The Akkotel Hotel is a boutique hotel located in a listed building as part of the old city walls, only a two-minute walk from the Acre harbour front. The building was previously used as the headquarters for military officers during the Ottoman era before being converted to a local school after the first world war, when the city was under British mandate. The hotel also served as the Magistrate Court of Acre for 40 years until 1995. The 16 comfortable rooms maintain their original stone walls and vaulted ceilings, coming equipped with air conditioning, complimentary wireless internet access, a satellite television and fridge. The hotel restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and the rooftop cafe serves light snacks accompanied by panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the old city.
