Superior Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Cairo

Fly to Cairo and transfer to Villa Belle Epoque for 2 nights. (N)

Day 2: Cairo

Morning tour of Giza to see the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. Afternoon private tour of the Egyptian Museum including entry to the Royal Mummy Room. (B)

Day 3: Fly to Luxor

Early morning flight to Luxor. Board the Jaz Yakouta for a 5-night cruise. This upscale dahabeya is elegantly decorated and provides an intimate cruising experience. Visit the Karnak temple complex and Luxor Temple. (D)

Day 4: Luxor • Esna

Visit the main sites of the West Bank including visits to the Valley of the Kings, Deir el-Medina and the Colossi of Memnon. Take lunch on board and sail to Esna this afternoon, where the dahabeya will overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Edfu • Kom Ombo

Set sail for Edfu this morning and visit the wellpreserved Temple of Horus. Continue to Kom Ombo and overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Aswan

Visit the unusual double temple of Kom Ombo before sailing to Aswan. On arrival, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, Aswan High Dam and the Temple of Philae. Tonight you will be moored in Aswan. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Aswan

Morning at leisure with an optional excursion to Abu Simbel (additional cost). In the afternoon take a relaxing felucca ride to the botanical garden. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Aswan

Disembark this morning and transfer to Sofitel Legend Old Cataract, a colonial-era property, for a 2-night stay. (B)

Day 9: Aswan

Day at leisure. Optional activities include visiting a Nubian village and the local bazaars (additional cost).

Day 10: Fly home via Cairo

Transfer to the airport for your flight home, via Cairo. (B)

It is 15 minutes south of the city by metro; 30 minutes drive from the airport, and 25 minutes to Giza.     The Jaz Yakouta Dahabeya is a traditional sailing boat offering 5-night cruises between Luxor and Aswan or 7-night round-trip cruises from Luxor. This small vessel provides the opportunity to travel in a more intimate group and can even be fully chartered for a group of friends or family. The ship features six elegantly designed cabins, each with large panoramic windows, television, individually controlled air conditioning, electronic safe and private bathroom.
