The elegant Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat offers 7-night cruises on the Nile between Luxor and Aswan (and vice versa). A dahabeya is a traditional small sailing vessel that was commonly used between the 1920s and 1940s when aristocrats loved to cruise the Nile in style and at a leisurely pace, visiting small islands, local villages and Pharaonic sites that were bypassed by the larger vessels.
The Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat has just five cabins and two suites and a one-to-one crew to passenger ratio, making it one of the most intimate vessels cruising the Nile. The decor pays homage to the old dahabeyas, while its interiors are furnished with all modern comforts. The cabins have twin beds, air conditioning, satellite television, minibar and a safe while the suites feature double beds with private terraces at the bow of the boat. The spacious sun deck features an open-air oriental-style jacuzzi, and shaded areas with tables and lounging chairs. It is possible for families or small groups to charter the vessel for exclusive use.
