"The most inspirational moment was when we reached the summit of Sigiriya and viewed the wonderful vista. I would urge anyone who visits Sri Lanka not to miss this. It is truly worthwhile.

"I am writing to commend Cox & Kings for organizing such a successful tour of Sri Lanka. It provided a perfect introduction to a lovely land and insight into a culture very different to our own. Our guide, was an inspiration to us all, with his wide-ranging knowledge of country, history, culture, and specialist knowledge of many subjects. I am grateful to have enjoyed such a wonderful travelling experience and hope that it will not be long before I have the opportunity to travel again with Cox & Kings.

"On Wadi Rum I felt that I was either on the moon or on a filmset. The views and the feeling of space and wilderness were wonderful.

"The contrast between high-tech Tokyo and the Bullet trains, and the tranquility and peace of the Rock Garden and the floating gate at Hiroshima. The two nights in the Ryokens were memorable experiences. We also deliberately chose to go in November to experience the Autumn colour, and we were not disappointed.
Ms Janice Murton"
"There were almost too many highlights to single out just one. However, I would have to include the first sight of the Taj Mahal in any shortlist. There were so many other wondrous buildings. We also greatly enjoyed the trip to the local village in Jaipur as it gave us a better insight as to how the rural community live.

"Walking in the snow at the bottom of the mid Atlantic Ridge, with the Eur-Asian tectonic plate on one side and the American plate on the other side of the valley. Also seeing the Northern Lights was an absolutely amazing, primeval experience, which ranked with seeing Wolves, Bears and Buffaloes in the wild in Yellowstone on a different adventure. Always wanted to do this, along with walking through a real Arctic storm, which we did.
Mr Philip Butler"
"Every day I thought 'it couldn't get better than this' - but it did.

"It is always inspiring to become acquainted with other cultures, and to see for oneself places known of through literature and other reportage media. Our experience of Russia was quite different from the present coverage in press. We were not particularly noticeable or significantly different from the generality of Russians. Perhaps the most pleasing moment was having supper in the restaurant of the National Hotel in Moscow, overlooking Red Square and St Basil's Cathedral. We couldn't have been positioned for a more iconic view, and the surroundings were sumptuous.
Ms Rosalind Lavington"
"The whole trip was a fantastic mixture of old and new with the guide and drivers providing superb service and knowledge. Several inspirational points of the trip including: the night turtle viewing on the beach, dune driving, the night in the desert, being able to enter the Bahla Fort and look around it in comparative isolation, the drive up Jabel Shams and the canyon, and finally, the archaeological dig in Salalah.
