Originally the home of a Ceylonese nobleman, the Elephant Stables is a simple yet charming six-bedroom colonial villa that has been converted into a hotel. The spacious rooms, which are elegantly decorated by combining contemporary minimalist style with traditional Kandyan artefacts and original 19th-century planter's furniture, are spread between the upper floor of the main house and a new wing that features a garden cottage.
