Dwarika’s Hotel was created from one man’s dream to preserve the architectural heritage of Nepal. The hotel was constructed in traditional Nepalese style using many antique wooden and terracotta features rescued from traditional properties around Kathmandu and Nepal. The award-winning hotel features 87 comfortable rooms and suites, each one of which has its own character. There are 16th-century windows in many, while there are private courtyards attached to others. Buddhist symbols on hand-printed curtains and bedspreads are used with traditional fabrics and accessories. The hotel is located within walking distance of the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and is about 20 minutes’ drive from the city centre.
