It is also home to Sasan Gir National Park, the only place on the planet where Asiatic lions still roam in the wild. Towering above the skyline and overlooking the Arabian Sea, the Trident Nariman Point is located in the heart of Mumbai's central business district with the city's main shopping area only a short distance away. The House of M.G. is a 20th century mansion that has been carefully converted into a boutique hotel. It is conveniently located with easy access to the old walled city and the markets. Every inch of the hotel is different and the architecture is a confluence of different styles influenced in part by traditional Gujarati design. The rooms are striking and the personalised touches in each of the rooms make them unique. The Agashiye Restaurant is very popular for fine Gujarati dining. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, health club and a coffee bar.
Situated near the village of Dasada, a few minutes from the entrance of the Little Rann of Kutch sanctuary, Rann Riders is an eco-friendly resort designed using local materials to recreate a village atmosphere. The cottages, comfortably furnished and decorated with mirrors and mud-plaster work, resemble traditional village huts/houses of the local community. Facilities include a swimming pool and a dining room.
Lion Safari Camp is a jungle safari camp at Sasan Gir National Park. It is located in the natural setting of a private mango orchard overlooking the Hiran River. Accommodation consists of 21 tents each of which has a large bedroom and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and hot/cold running water. The public area of camp consists of an open-air, river-facing restaurant.
Fateh Prakash is a royal residence decorated in the traditional style in the heart of Udaipur overlooking Lake Pichola. A durbar hall, antique furniture and an extensive crystal gallery all keep the ancient charm of the palace alive. The hotel consists of nine suites in the former state rooms and the Dovecote Wing. Guests staying at the Fateh Prakash Palace have full access to the facilities of the nearby Shiv Niwas Palace, including swimming pool and restaurant.
Once the summer residence of the prime minister of the princely state of Marwar, Connaught House, a modest yet charming colonial style cottage, is set among a mature garden and is only a short walk away from the town of Mount Abu. Each of the 10 rooms is simply furnished and tastefully decorated in neutral colours. Facilities include a dining room that serves Indian as well as international cuisine, and a small gymnasium.
