Standard Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Kochi

Overnight flight to Kochi (Cochin). (N)

Day 2: Athirapally

Transfer to Athirapally located on the fringed of the Sholayar forest range and known for its scenic waterfalls. Stay in the rustic and simple Rainforest Lodge. Afternoon visit to the waterfalls or take a guided jungle trek. (D)

Day 3: Sulthan Bathery

Drive to Sulthan Bathery and stay 2 nights at Amaryllis. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Edakkal caves

Morning visit to the Edakkal cave where prehistoric enigmatic relief carvings of figures and symbols have been an endless source of excitement for tourists, historians and anthropologists since they were discovered in the 19th century. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Nagarhole

Drive to Nagarhole and stay 2 nights at the Evolve Back Kabini situated next to the Kabini River. The river is a tributary of the Cauvery and flowing through the Nagarhole National Park, encircling a patch of green called Kabini. Afternoon wildlife viewing by boat. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Nagarhole

Morning and afternoon wildlife drives in the Nagarhole National Park. This exuberant jungle is home to leopard, gaur, antelope, crocodile, tiger, cobra, python and herds of elephant among other animals. Afternoon wildlife viewing. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Kodagu (Coorg)

Drive to Madikeri, famous for its coffee and spice plantations. Stay 2 nights at the delightful Evolve Back Coorg. Afternoon guided walk through the plantation. (B)

Day 8: Bylakuppe

Guided walk through the plantation, followed by a visit to the large Tibetan settlement town of Bylakuppe. A short guided tour of a plantation is an excellent way to get to know the different types of coffee and learn how the different spices are grown, harvested, processed and packed. (B, L, D)

Day 9: Kasargod

Drive to Kasargod characterised by coconut palms, rolling hills, forts, beaches and backwaters. 3 nights at Neeleshwar Hermitage. (B, L, D)

Days 10-11: Kasargod

Days at leisure. (B, L, D)

Day 12: Mumbai

Fly to Mumbai and overnight at the LaLit. (B)
