Located in the heart of the bazaars, Haveli Hari Ganga in Haridwar is a characterful heritage hotel with private access to the Ganges. Getting here is an experience in itself as the haveli's own rickshaws transport you the last few hundred metres through the colourful, bustling streets. The 20 rooms are simply furnished and some have direct access to the communal terraces and seating areas. The pillared, central courtyard houses a small shrine and the haveli's atmosphere is enhanced by the traditional Indian music that is played here in the evenings. As Haridwar is a holy town, the multi cuisine buffet restaurant is strictly vegetarian with no meat or eggs, and no alcohol is served. The Haveli Hari Ganga does not serve alcohol.
