The Oberoi Vanyavilas is India's first luxury jungle resort. It is located adjacent to the famous Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in northwest India and is 180 km (3 ½ hours drive) from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
The resort consists of 25 luxury air-conditioned tents located discreetly on the site to ensure maximum privacy. All are 790 sq feet and have private walled gardens and an outside deck for sunbathing and relaxation. The tents feature large well-appointed marble bathrooms with free standing bathtubs, separate shower stalls and double vanity counters as well as king size four poster beds, satellite TV, DVD player, Internet access, safe, telephone, mini bar and butler service. They are furnished in a regal style with wooden floors and embroidered interior canopies.
The restaurant has a multi cuisine menu, offering Western, Thai and Indian cuisine. The Spa and Fitness Tent, set over the lake in a courtyard of fountains, offers steam rooms, showers and private therapy suites. This is also a heated outdoor swimming pool and yoga classes for you to enjoy. This property really is the perfect base from which to explore Ranthambhore. Tiger sightings are more frequent during the months of May and June.
