Set in a quiet corner of Fort Kochi, the Tea Bungalow is a delightful colonial mansion that has been converted into a hotel. Originally built at the turn of the 20th century, it served as an office for a British company trading in spices and coir, before being sold to a British Tea Company that converted the mansion into a guesthouse for visiting plantation managers. Almost 100 years later, the mansion was superbly restored and converted into a hotel featuring 6 elegant, spacious rooms, spread over two floors, combining olde-world charm and character with contemporary style and modern conveniences. No two rooms are alike in size and decor and while some have private outdoor space, others don't. Some rooms also open onto a lounge that can be used as a dining area. The hotel also features 4 rooms in a garden annexe, relatively new building that is similar in style and design to the old mansion. The hotel's facilities include a restaurant that serves local as well as international cuisine, a coffee bar, which is part of the veranda on the first floor, and a small outdoor pool.
