Accommodation rating: Good Standard

Built during the early 18th century, the Sheesh Mahal was originally intended as a country retreat for the local Raja. Presently owned anad managed by the local state administration, the hotel combines old world charm with essential modern conveniences. Although the hotel retains little of its former regal splendour, it is ideally situated between the Raj Mahal and the Jehangir Mahal and offers spectacular views of the monuments. Each of the eight rooms is simply furnished and facilities include a restaurant serving Indian as well as international cuisine. This hotel must be regarded as simple and modest.
