Ramathra Fort lies in a beautifully unspoilt
area of Eastern Rajasthan between Bharatpur
bird sanctuary and Ranthambore wildlife
reserve.
The fort was originally the 17th century
stronghold of the Jadoan Rajputs and today
belongs to their descendants who have
devotedly restored it. It sits on a mound,
surrounded by farmland, wilderness, lakes,
gorges, plateaus and hillocks. The views are
spectacular.
Accommodation is in 6 rooms and suites
plus 6 spacious tents with fixed bathrooms.
Local activities include picnics, jeep safaris,
walking, village visits, birdwatching and visits to
Ranthambore and the Daang Plateau.
Ramathra is around 4 hours’ drive from Jaipur.
