Itmenaan Estate is a resort in a peaceful and rural setting near Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The resort includes virgin pine, oak and rhododendron trees, terraced fields laden with seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as a small private natural spring. From the resort guests can take in panoramic views of the Himalaya including the majestic Nanda Devi peak. The main house is a 100-year-old traditional Kumaoni-style stone house that has been restored and offers three rooms. There is also an independent two-storey cottage offering slightly more secluded accommodation. Dishes served are local, North Indian and continental, prepared using fresh produce from the resort's gardens or sourced locally. Activities include helping out with farming, gardening and bee keeping processes of the estate or leisurely walks and slightly more challenging trekking trails in the scenic surroundings.
