Bassi Fort Palace was built in the 16th century by Thakur Jaimal of the Sisodia a dynasty, cousin of Maharana Pratap, the founder of Bassi principality. Six of the ancestors of Rawat Sahib Kesri Singh Ji, the present head of Bassi family laid down their lives defending Mewar and the famous Chittorgarh Fort. Set picturesquely amid hills, the palace offers a retreat into an aesthetically beautiful environment. Its towering gates, domes, arches, corridors and Mahals takes one back to the Royal Magnificence of the past. Accommodation is in 16 well appointed rooms. All the suites/rooms are spacious with Jharokhas, en-suite bathrooms, dressing rooms and attractively appointed sitting rooms.
