British Airways

British Airways flies from London Heathrow nonstop to Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Hyderabad, Chennai (Madras) and Bengaluru (Bangalore), and from London to the Maldives from October to March. You can either check in online, or b y using the British Airways app or at the checkin kiosk at the airport. Print or download your boarding pass and take your baggage directly to the Bag Drop desk.

World Traveller benefits: A 79cm (31in) seat pitch with lumbar support, footrest and adjustable headrest; 23cm (8.9in) personal television screen with audio video on demand, offering access to 200 film, television and music channels; and three-course meals with complimentary bar service.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic operates daily non-stop flights from London Heathrow to Delhi, now operated by their 787-9 Dreamliner out of a dedicated check-in area at Terminal 3. With Virgin Atlantic, you can check in at the check-in kiosk or online, printing your boarding pass and taking your luggage directly to the Bag Drop.

Economy Class benefits: 79cm (31in) seat pitch with lumbar support and adjustable headrests; 23cm (9in) personal television screen with more than 300 hours of entertainment; choice of three meals with separate dessert service and complimentary drinks; and free amenity kit.

Premium Economy benefits: Separate checkin and dedicated cabin with a maximum of 35 passengers, comfier leather seats with a width of 53cm (21in) and a 97cm (38in) seat pitch. Upper Class benefits: Separate check-in at Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class Wing; quick transfer through the Private Security Channel to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, which offers complimentary meals, drinks and treatments. Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways operates six daily flights from Heathrow, two daily flights from Manchester and one daily flight from Edinburgh to Doha, with onward connections to 12 destinations in India as well as Colombo and the Maldives.
