Fregate Island Private is the only resort on this remote island in the Seychelles. To maintain Fregate Island's tranquillity and beauty without impacting the delicate balance of its ecosystem, Fregate Island Private voluntarily restricts itself to just sixteen villas and one presidential villa. Each villa is decorated with hand carved wood, Thai silk and Egyptian cotton, with antiques and Asian artwork adding a personal touch and they have all been positioned to guarantee the ultimate privacy and to maximise the stunning views of the ocean and beaches below. Each villa has floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom, entrance area and lounge and the bathrooms have a tropical feel opening into a private garden area with outdoor shower. Outside on the private deck is an infinity pool, Jacuzzi, large day bed and dining pavilion. A private butler is assigned to each villa to ensure their guests' stay is as personal and suited to their needs as possible. They are on hand to provide anything, anywhere, anytime on the island.
The main restaurant serves a la carte breakfast and gourmet cuisine with views of the ocean, while Creole delicacies are served in the carefully restored Seychelles Plantation House, which is also a museum. Fregate Island Private offers an island dining experience where guests can dine anywhere, anytime including high tea at Glacis Cerf, breakfast or BBQ lunch in the Tree House and a private wine cellar. In room dining is also available as an option for all meals. The quiet and secluded beaches of Fregate offer swimming, snorkelling and deep-sea fishing, while a fresh water swimming pool is centrally located between the villas, integrated into a natural rock basin. The hotel also has a fitness centre and a library and there is a playground and a giant tortoise nursery for the island's younger guests to enjoy. Bicycle helmets are not provided and therefore, should you choose to cycle around the island, it is recommended that you take your own.
