Cousine Island is a secluded island retreat, just a few kilometres from Praslin Island and easily reached by helicopter from Mahe. Cousine is one of the smallest islands in the granitic Seychelles group and has an area of only 25 hectares. The mission of the Cousine island owner is to promote and practice nature conservation and their aim is to share this philosophy with their guests - voluntary participation in conservation projects can be arranged for guests staying on the island.
The accommodation comprises just four individual, luxury villas set amongst the natural vegetation. Just 30 metres from the beach, each villa is positioned to ensure maximum privacy and to offer full ocean views. French colonial in style, the villas are air conditioned, with a lounge and dining area, a spacious bathroom with a twin shower and a Jacuzzi bath and a bedroom that opens up onto the veranda, which leads to the beach. Satellite television, DVD player and an ipod docking station are just some of the facilities available in each villa.
The Pavillion offers fine dining where Seychellois chefs prepare mouthwatering cuisine to order and the Beach House Spa and Wellness Centre offers guests an opportunity to relax and unwind. The library has broadband internet access, the Gecko bar has views of the neighbouring islands and there is also a fresh water swimming pool. Dedicated conservation officers take guests of the lodge on guided walks or snorkelling trips and other excursions and activities can also be arranged.
