The Kamu Lodge is a rustic retreat on the banks of the Mekong river, north-west of Luang Prabang. The lodge is named after the neighbouring village and is surrounded by the rice paddies of the local farmers. Guests are accommodated in 20 free-standing lodges, with thick canvas walls and a sturdy thatch roof. Solar panels are fixed to the roofs to power the ceiling fan and interior lighting. Every lodge features a white-washed stone bathroom annex with a hot water shower and a veranda with easy chairs from where you can soak up the rural atmosphere.
