With an ideal location in the centre of Paksé, the Pakse Hotel is within walking distance of the Mekong river, local services and shops. A landmark in Pakse, the building was constructed under the supervision of Prince Boun Oum, a hereditary prince of the kingdom of Champasak, and has previously been a cinema and casino that was at the heart of cultural life in Pakse, hosting festivals and events. Converted into a hotel in 2003 by the Lao-French owners, the interior retains its traditional cultural influences and French Indochina spirit, combined with modern conveniences and comfort. The 60 guestrooms all feature air conditioning, complimentary internet access, satellite television, fridge and minibar. The hotel rooftop restaurant, Le Patioh de Noy, has an excellent panoramic view over Pakse and surrounding area, and offers a range of traditional Laos cuisine, as well as western and Thai dishes.
