Yoshikawa Tempura Ryokan is one of Kyoto's oldest inns, with a history of hospitality dating back 120 years. Located in the back streets of the central Tominokoji district, the ryokan is most famous for its tempura - lightly battered vegetables and seafood served hot with dipping sauce, salt or grated radish, believed to be the best in Kyoto. The ryokan itself is very small and intimate with just eight traditional Japanese guestrooms, all with views of the immaculate Edo-era landscaped garden. The service is of the very highest standard; booking a tempura dinner served to you in the privacy of your guestroom by kimono-wearing staff is highly recommended. During your stay breakfast and dinner are both included. Features: 8 rooms, tempura counter bar, Wi-Fi. Room amenities: Hinoki wood bath, fridge, hairdryer, television.
